As your birthday approaches...

I look above to the winters sky,
I find myself asking the question why,
you were my perfect baby boy,
so tiny and doll like, just like a toy,
the angels were ready to take you above,
daddy and I are sending our love.
Your birthdays are always when I shed a tear,
for the baby I long to have with me here.
RIP Joseph Bradshaw, gone but never forgotten xxx

Your mummy is my best friend, this little poem is from her to you. Keep shining your star so bright, until you and your mummy meet again. Sleep tight little man xxxxxx

Miss you Son

Joseph, where do i start?, as you are aware alot has gone on, your Auntie Sarah has just got married to Gary, i gave her a lucky sixpence for her shoe, and a guardian angel charm to wear on her special day from you, she also has a new baby boy Elliott, who is very cheeky but adorable he looks a little bit like Billy, Auntie Amy is due her little girl in January, i'm sure she will make a great mum.
Your brother Owen now has to wear glasses, he looks like the milkybar kid, very cute blonde hair, blue eyes lol, he struggles everyday but with your guidence and strength we get by, he will grow up with all the help he needs, Nathan is 14 in January!! Faye is beautifull growing into a young lady, Billy is 7 next week he wrote a list of gifts including a trip to Australia , think he will have to have another think, he still wants to join the Army, Summer has just started full time school, she loves it.

I miss you son like you wouldn't believe my hearts aches for you, stay safe, be good, and keep that star shining bright at night.

The world may never notice
If a Snowdrop doesn't bloom,
Or even pause to wonder
If the petals fall too soon.

But every life that ever forms,
Or ever comes to be,
Touches the world in some small way
For all eternity.

The little one we longed for
Was swiftly here and gone.
But the love that was then planted
Is a light that still shines on.

And though our arms are empty,
Our hearts know what to do.
Every beating of our hearts
Says that we love you.

Time has taken me from you,
Although not very far.
I'll be watching through the sunshine
And through the brightest star.

I'll be watching all of you,
From the heavens up above.
So take good care of each other
And carry all my love.

If you're ever wondering
If I'm there, here's where you can start.
Take a look inside yourself
Deep within your heart.

I'll always be your baby,
Your child (grandchild), your best friend.
So anytime you need me,
Close your eyes I'm back again.

"For My Unborn Child"
by Marigrace Iodice

I never got to see your face
Or even give you a name
But in my heart, you hold a special place
And for that, I would never be the same

I'll never hear you laugh or cry
Or hold you in my arms tenderly
I'll never know the color of your eyes
But I will still love you endlessly

I never got to hold your hand
I never got to sing you a lullaby
I will never come to understand
Why murderers run free & innocent souls die

I'll always have my suspicions
Why God took you from me
All these unanswered questions
That would burn inside of me

Forever saddened upon this Earth
Crying for you, my unborn child
Never blessed by your birth.
But I'll be here, Unable to smile

You are my shining light in heaven
For One of God's Angels to love
Until I get my wings to descend
She'll take care of you, for me, in Heaven above

You'll be my Guiding Light to Heaven's Gate
Where I'll get to see your Angelic Smile
And even if I never got to see your face
I'll know in an instant that you are my unborn child!

But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

Hills & Valleys
© Sue Morton
The hills, the valleys
and the bends.
Going up and down each day,
wondering if my heart will mend.

Sure, the pain will lessen
and I'll genuinely smile once more
but the emptiness will stay
and my heart will forever be sore.

You were all I ever wanted
and now you'll never be.
You were going to be my future
now that has ceased for me.

I can't help this feeling
of feeling so alone,
but I just can't talk about it
I don't want to be a moan.

So I'll keep writing
and talking to you in my mind.
Until we meet one day
and then true joy I will find.

I'm not saying
it's going to be soon,
even if it's years from now
my joy will be over the moon

God needed an angel in heaven

When Jesus lived upon the earth so many years ago,
He called the children close to him because he loved them so.....
And with that tenderness of old, that same sweet, gentle way,
He holds your little loved one close within his arms today.....
And you’ll find comfort in your faith that in his home above
The God of little children gives your little one his love....
So think of you little darling lighthearted and happy and free
Playing in God’s promised land where there is joy eternally.

The tiny rosebud God picked to bloom in Heaven.
The master gardener from heaven above
Planted a seed in the garden of Love,
And from it there grew a rosebud small
That never had time to open at all.
For God in his perfect and all-wise way
Chose this rose for his heavenly bouquet,
And great was the joy of this tiny rose
To be the one our Father chose
To leave earth’s garden
For one on high
where roses bloom always and never die.
So, while you can’t see your precious rose bloom,
You know the great gardener from the upper room
Is watching and tending this wee rose with care,
Tenderly touching each petal so fair.
So think of your darling with the angels above,
Secure and contented and surrounded with love,
And remember God blessed and enriched your lives too,
For in dying your darling brought heaven closer to you.

Precious Child by Karen Taylor Good

In my dreams, you are alive and well
Precious child, precious child
In my mind, I see you clear as a bell
Precious child, precious child
In my soul, there is a hole
That can never be filled
But in my heart, there is hope
'Cause you are with me still

In my heart, you live on
Always there never gone
Precious child, you left too soon
Tho' it may be true that we're apart
You will live forever... in my heart

In my plans, I was the first to leave
Precious child, precious child
But in this world, I was left here to grieve
Precious child, my precious child

In my soul, there is a hole
That can never be filled
But in my heart there is hope
And you are with me still

In my heart you live on
Always there, never gone
Precious child, you left too soon,
Tho' it may be true that we're apart
You will live forever... in my heart

God knows I want to hold you,
See you, touch you
And maybe there's a heaven
And someday I will again
Please know you are not forgotten until then

In my heart you live on
Always there never gone
Precious child, you left too soon
Tho' it may be true that we're apart
You will live forever... in my heart

Happy Birthday In Heaven - by Winnie Lovett

"Happy Birthday Joseph"
It's sure to be the best one yet,
Though you left us here behind.
Did you think that we'd forget?

Your cake this year, will surely be,
A beauty to behold.
With the icing made of Silver,
And the candles made of Gold.

Yes, your birthday in Heaven,
Will be such a grand affair.
And I know you'll look so lovely,
With a halo in your hair.

The Angels will come from everywhere,
To sing your birthday song.
And I know they'll be so happy,
That you've joined, God's Happy Throng.

No I can't send a card this year,
Or give a gift so fine.
So I'll just send a special prayer,
To that wonderful Son of yours.
